Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix

Book:
This is the only book I have that has been pretty much destroyed. I have read it so much it is in terrible shape. It is completely worn. This book is fantastic! I guess Prisoner Azkaban is my favorite but I think this is my absolute favorite. It's awesome. So much action and drama. It is the start of the end. Where the war begins. A perfect introduction to the war I might add.

Favorite Scenes:
~When Harry first went to the Grimmauld Place and everything that happened there. The spying, the cleaning, everything.
~Hagrid's tale of the giants and the lesson on threstrals.
~Cho and Harry's date where she becomes a complete psycho. I'm definitely Team Ginny! Cho is a stuck up snot. (I hate girls like that so sorry if I got completely crazy there.)
~Rita Skeeters role of course. It's hard not to like Rita Skeeter. She is so deliciously evil with words. I am sad her role was taken away from this movie too.
~The visit to St. Mungos.
~The ending where Mad-Eye, Tonks, and Arthur talk to the Dursleys about how they treat Harry. It is so funny!

Movie:
The movie is the right kind of dark. The new character were perfectly cast (like Tonks!) and Harry's hair is back to normal. There was a lot of scenes left out that would have been great to see but they did amazing with the time they had. The movie is great but of course the book is way better.

Favorite Scenes:
~The broomstick ride to Grimmauld Place and Grimmauld Place itself.
~Finally seeing the thestrals. They are more amazing in the films than in my head. They are creepy but in a beautiful kind of way. Unique.
~Hermione accidently calling Luna 'Loony' right in front of her.
~Umbridge's detention punishment turned out just as creepy as it was in the book. They did a fantastic job with picking the perfect actress who could get that crazy but evil look.
~The fight at the Ministry is great. The Department of Mysteries was brought to life and it's mysteriousness was clearly shown.
~The battle between Voldemort and Dumbledore was awesome!! We finally got to see an adult duel and it was fantastic.
~Harry being possessed by Voldemort was amazing. I loved they way they did it. Everytime I watch it, it gives me chills.

Scenes from the book that should have been in the movie:
~Ron and Hermione becoming Prefects.
~Hagrid teaching the class about thestrals. Luna telling Harry was okay but I liked Hagrid's way of doing it better.
~I'm still torn on whether I like that Cho tattled in the movie or her friend, Marietta tattled in the book. Hermione's curse would have been cool to see.
~Harry Giving the interview to Rita Skeeter for the Quibbler.
~I think they definitely should have included Mad-Eye, Tonks, and Arthur's conversation with the Dursleys in the end.

Quotes:
~"Don't put your wand there, boy! What if it ignited? Better wizards than you have lost buttocks, you know!" -Mad-Eye Moody

~"But Dumbledore says he doesn't care what they do as long as they don't take him of the Chocolate Frog cards." -Bill Weasly

~"I expect what you're not aware of would fill several books, Dursley," -Mad-Eye Moody

~"Dumbledore's Army's supposed to be about doing something real. Or was all that just words to you?" -Neville Longbottom

~"Harry...It's not how you are alike. It' show you are not..." -Albus Dumbledore

~"You're the weak one. And you'll never know love, or friendship. And I feel sorry for you." -Harry Potter

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Book:
This is the biggest example of me liking the book more than the movie. This one is the first one of big books and it's packed filled with action and cool information that is so awesome it should have been included. This was another fantastic book though.

Favorite Scenes:
~Molly's letter to the Dursleys, the amount of stamps were so funny!
~The Weasleys picking up Harry for the Quidditch World Cup.
~Rita Skeeter's entire role in the book, her interviews and Hermione blackmailing her. It's awesome.
~S.P.E.W.

Movie:
I have to say this is the only movie out of the series that I am disappointed with. It was a great movie but it felt rushed and there were so many things I was looking forward to seeing and just wasn't there. So this is a love-hate thing. Oh, and I hated Harry and Ron's hair. It was so ugly.

Favorite Scenes:
~The Quidditch World Cup was awesome. It worked out great.
~All the tasks were awesome too. The dragons looks so cool, the merpeople could definitely be viewed as scary, and the maze was really creepy. The maze that comes alive!!! Great concept!
~Voldemort is back!
~The Beauxbatons and Durmstrang's means of transportation and their entrances.

Scenes from the book that should have been in the movie:
~The Weasleys picking up Harry from the Dursleys.
~Mr. Crouch's elf and his son being trapped to him. Crouch knowing his son was still alive because he was the one who helped him escape.
~The final task in the movie was disappointing. There are so many cool things that happen in the maze during the book and they dropped it all. The maze in the movie is cool and very creepy but I was looking forward to the monsters and mini-tasks inside it.

Quotes:
~"I bought this in a Muggle shop," said the old wizard stubbornly. "Muggles wear them."
"Muggle women wear them, Archie, not the men, they wear these." said the Ministry wizard, and he brandished the pinstriped trousers.
"I'm not putting them on," said old Archie in indignation. "I like a healthy breeze 'round my privates, thanks." pg. 83 (GOD I love this soooo much! So hilarious!)
~"Blimey, Harry. You've slayed dragons. If you can't get a date, who can?" -Ron Weasley
~"No, I did! Don't you remember? I told Hermione to tell you that Seamus told me that Parvati told Dean that Hagrid was looking for you! Seamus never actually told me anything, so it was really me all along. I thought we'd be alright, you know, after you figured that out." -Ron Weasley
~"If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals." -Sirius Black

Random

Just thought I would post some updates while I had some spare time. This whole blogging world is huge. I have been all over the place!

I am keeping up with my Harry Potter Reviews and maybe adding some extra posts if I have time. After that though I have some new reviews to post as well as a number of books to read. I am expecting two books in the mail: one I won entering a blog hop giveaway and an ARC from goodreads.com, have three on my e-reader, and another on my phone using the nook app.

I am excited about all those books. I can't wait to get to them but I have to finish the Harry Potter reviews first. They are very important to me.

Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July!!

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

Book:
This is my favorite book out of the series. All the books are great but this one is my absolute favorite. J.K. keeps the drama but doesn't get to dark in this one. There are so many funny parts in this on I just love it! It's the last short book but it was good.

Favorite Scenes:
~Harry's birthday presents.
~Harry's stay at the Leaky Cauldron and Diagon Alley
~The scene where the trio meets and Hermione buys Crookshanks.
~The noisemakers at Christmas dinner that had prizes inside. That would be so cool to have.
~The scene where Ron saw Sirius Black standing over him with a knife. We all know who he was really trying to kill but of course they don't.

Movie:
This is also my favorite movie. This movie got darker. They set apart from the first two with darker colors and Harry Potter's new hairstyle (his hair is too long in the first two and the next one, too ugly looking). The old Dumbledore actor died and I have to say I like the new one better. He is much more crazy, the other one was too calm. I also love the music in this one. So much I actually own the soundtrack. It's awesome!

Favorite Scenes:
~The opening scene of Harry practicing his spells.
~The Knight Bus!
~The dementors turned out better than what I imagined in my head. They are so creepy.
~The boggart scene was very amusing
~Outside the Shrieking Shack with the invisible Harry throwing snowballs at Malfoy and pulling down someone's pants. So hilarious!
~Hermione punching Malfoy in the face!

Quotes:
~"I thought we'd seen the worst when we bought two hundred copies of the Invisible Book of Invisibility - cost a fortune, and we never found them..." -Owner of Flourish and Blotts (book)
~"You look in excellent health to me, Potter, so you will excuse me if I don't let you off homework today. I assure you that if you die, you need not hand it in." -Minerva McGonagall (book)
~"No, but you if you jab with a fork, they feel!" -Shrunken Head (Knight Bus, movie)
~"Spiders...the spiders...they want me to tap-dance. I don't want to tap-dance!" -Ron Weasley (movie)
~"You! You foul, loathsome, evil little cockroach!" -Hermione Granger (movie)

Scenes from the book that should be in the movie:
~I loved the part where Harry stayed at the Leaky Cauldron and spent time in Diagon Alley. Also Florean Fortescue giving Harry free ice cream. :)
~Actually the whole Diagon Alley scene. Harry going to the shop, meeting the Weasleys and Hermione there, Hermione buying her cat. That would have all been cool.
~Crookshanks entire role in the book would have been cool. Knowing Scabbers wasn't who he really was and helping them get into the Shrieking Shack.
~Harry having his first meeting with Lupin in his office. In Death Hallows Part 1, Lupin asks Harry what creature was in his room when they first met alone and Harry answers but it wasn't put in this movie.
~The Gryffindors winning the Quidditch Cup.
~The ending where Harry scares the Dursleys by telling them about his Godfather. I would have preferred that over the broom which should have came earlier in the movie.
